Chris was recently asking me about Betting Gods, how I got into this business and what have been the highlights, hard times, and so on. We both agreed it would make a great blog post. So – here goes!
Ultimately – I got into betting as a hobby.
I was a Police Officer in the early 00’s, and we had a Saturday Sweepstake with a few bets for a bit of fun.
Gradually this bit of fun became more serious, and I began reading the form, watching replays and putting lots of analysis into my selections before placing my bets alongside my unsuspecting colleagues.
Time went by, and I became quite good at this picking horses thing and started making a steady second-income.
Fast-forward a couple of years, I became a Father and missed spending time with my Son, so the leap of faith to full-time pro-bettor happened, and much to my relief it is was a success.
Initially I kept my betting to myself and occasionally would share a tip with close friends or family members, until a chance meeting with a guy called Ryan who ran a Football trading site and we entered a joint venture of running a small tipster site. [Read more…]
